Steve Atkins Funeral Details

Steve Atkins sadly passed away on Saturday 28th May after suffering a massive stroke on the previous Wednesday. Steve was a very passionate and long time member of Abertillery Wheelers and recently rejoined the club where his contributions at our club events was enourmous.

As a tribute to him Nigel Pearce thought we could arrange a ride from the War Memorial at Abertillery to Steve’s place of rest in Brynmawr. The family has requested no black to be worn, So we thought a fitting touch would be to wear bright cycling clothes, as this would meet the family’s request and show Steve’s love of his sport cycling

Steve's funeral is set for Wednesday 15th June 11am @ the Wesleyan Chapel Nantyglo – then on to Brynmawr Cemetery. There will be refreshments afterwards at West Mon golf club.

For those who intend to ride i suggest we meet @ the Abertillery war memorial for a leaving time of 10am – which should give us ample time
