Acme Wheelers 2up 10 Mile Time Trial - R10/22 - 17^th May

Seven Abertillery riders took part in the Acme Wheelers 2 man team time trial held on a challenging 10 mile course at Resolven. The event was won in convincing style by the Premier Calendar duo of Luke & Matt Rowe (Recycling.co.uk) who covered the course in a blistering 19-46, almost a full minute faster than the second placed pairing of Andrew Butcher & Paul Sheppard (Cwmcarn Paragon). The final step on the podium was filled by the Merthyr CC team of Stephen Barrett & Colin Wallace with a 21-10.

The fastest Abertillery team on the night were Rhys Rowlands & Ian Davies whose time of 22-32 was good enough to see them finish in the top ten.

Brecon Wheelers Hill Climb - RH/11 - 19^th May

The first hill climb of the 2007 Magic Dragon series was held last Saturday on the slopes of Llangynidar Mountain. The quickest rider up the hill was Brecon based rider Ryan Bevis (Bad CC) who reached the summit in 11-05.7, Richard Harris (Cwmcarn Paragon CC) was second with 11-38.6 and Ogmore Valley Wheeler Rob Powell completed the podium with 11-57.2.

The first Abertillery rider was Rhys Rowlands who finished in tenth place with 12-54.7.
