We will be meeting at 11:30am outside the Hafodyrynys Hotel

Next week sees the first "racing" event of the season with the traditional eight mile blast from Hafodyrynys to Pontypool and back, for the Graham Price Memorial Plaque.

A few club members have already targeted the event as an early indicator of form and will be looking to better their time from the previous year.

Aerodynamics are likely to be crucial and the choice of cycling attire could prove decisive on the day, as can be seen in the pic below.

Will anybody be as brave as Nick Charman and wear a leopard skin thong this year?

Last years event was won by Mike Waters
