Another fine, warm summers evening saw eleven riders brave the gloomy climbs of death valley before emerging into the sunlight for the high speed blast down the new road to Pontypool. Ian Davies made the most of the good conditiions and the following tail wind to turn in his best performance on this course with a 23:23. His winning time just beat the previous club best of 23:26 set last year by Tony Hudson. Dave Evans was once again the fastest of the visitors and slipped inside the 25 minute mark for the first time on this course.
The only downside to the evening was Owen's tumble after the finish. Luckily it wasn't serious, but he'll be stiff today!
