Welsh Cyclo-Cross League Rnd7 Abergavenny

Th big guns of the cyclo-cross scene were all in Abergavenny this weekend for round 7 of the Welsh Cyclo-Cross League which also forms part of the National Cyclo-Cross League.

The first Abertillery rider to face the course was Eliot Williams riding in the Youth race. The faster sections of the Abergavenny course obviously suited Eliot and he recorded his best result of the series so far, finishing in 8^th Place. The Youth race was won by Sam Harrison, Newport Phoenix.

The Senior race saw sixt-eight riders sign on, including the current Commonwealth MTB Champion, Liam Kileen. The Abertillery pairing of Tony Hudson and Gareth Chislett continued their weekly tussle, with Gareth getting to the finish line first this week. Gareth finished in 35^th place with Tony one place behind in 36^th

The senior race was won by Liam Kileen (Specialized) with last weeks winner Lee Williams (Abergavenny CC) in 2nd place and Welsh Coach Julian Winn (Pinarello RT) completing the podium.
