Gary Jones (M&D Cycles) produced the fastest ride of the day in Abertillery Wheelers' April 25 held on the R25/7a course at Raglan. His winning time of 57m 58s was over a full minute faster than his winning time from the previous year and he was the only rider to dip under the magic hour.

The first Wheeler home was Martin Latewood who missed the hour mark by a slender 12 seconds to take second place.

John Heale continued his run of good form to record a personal best of 1-08-06.

Ross Phillips once again suffered from a bout of the Paula Radcliffe's and failed to complete the full distance despite being the fastest Wheeler by over 25 seconds at the mid point.
