Sean Yates Scoop Fans will be able to meet British cycling legend Sean Yates on Saturday 28th June on the eve of the National Road Champs as part of this years Cycling Fringe. Sean will be discussing his career, his recent book and taking questions from fans at a free event held in Abergavenny at the Hen & Chickens pub. After a long professional cycling career he spent three years as the team's lead Director Sportif at Sky and, in 2012, presided over Bradley Wiggins victories in Paris-Nice, Tour de Romandie, Critérium du Dauphiné, Tour de France and the Olympic Time Trial. In October 2012, he left the employment of Team Sky and retired from cycling, After a year away from the sport, in October 2013 it emerged that Yates had agreed to take the position of directeur sportif for the NFTO team from the 2014 season. Sean is in Abergavenny this year with his team for the Nationals. When – Saturday 28th at 6pm – 7pm Where – Upstairs in the Hen & Chickens PH Cost – this is a FREE event and an opportunity to buy signed copies of Sean’s autobiography “It’s All About The Bike” recently published in paperback."
